Overview

By the end of this program, the viewer should be able to:    

  • Identify major anatomical structures of the adult respiratory system on PA (posteroanterior) and lateral projection radiographs of the chest. 
  • Evaluate chest radiographs for correct positioning and proper demonstration of pertinent anatomy. 
  • Describe common errors radiographers make when performing chest radiography, and establish methods to avoid these errors. 
  • Apply other technologists' positioning suggestions to your normal positioning strategy to help improve your overall imaging result.

The target audience is radiologic technologists working in general imaging. All other technologists practicing in this field may also benefit.
