Overview

By the end of this program, the viewer should be able to: 

  • Identify the current imaging modalities used in breast cancer detection, diagnosis, and treatment  assessment. 
  • Describe the typical ultrasound appearance of benign and malignant lesions. 
  • Discuss the radiographic signs of breast disease. 
  • Discuss the roles of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) in  breast cancer assessment.

The target audience is mammography technologists. Other technologists and medical personnel may also benefit from viewing this program.
