Overview

By the end of this program, the viewer should be able to: 

  • Discuss how the incidence of breast cancer is changing throughout the world. 
  • Recognize the impact of screening mammography on the breast cancer mortality rate. 
  • Identify potential problems with screening mammography. 
  • Explain the use of modalities other than x-ray mammography in the diagnosis of breast disease.  
  • Explain controversies on governmental guidelines concerning screening mammography.
